On October 12, 2018, with the cooperation of Boğaziçi University Engineering Club students and Kat Mekatronik Ürünleri A.Ş., a technical trip was organized to Kat Mekatronik factory for the students of Electrical-Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial and Mechatronics engineering departments within the scope of "Engineering Days".

In order to see the products produced by Kat Mekatronik Ürünleri A.Ş., one of the important companies of the automotive sector, in an integrated manner with technology by addressing customer expectations and to observe its contributions to the automotive world, a technical trip was organized to the factory, which has the feature of "Smart Building", located in Istanbul Trakya Free Zone on an area of 25,000 square meters. The students were taken to the training hall at the entrance of the factory and were first given an informative presentation about the facility and the introduction of the products. The students were then given personal protective equipment and toured the plant under the supervision of Project Manager Gürkan Arığa and Project Team Leader Gökmen Akduman.

During the technical trip, where all the stages of automotive components from raw material to product were explained in the relevant units of the factory, information was also obtained about the robotic warehouse, which is the largest robotic warehouse in Europe with a height of 31 meters and 7500 addresses within Kat Mekatronik. The technical trip ended with taking souvenir photos.
